The first thing that comes to my mind is that bed bugs breed at lightning speed. Even before you can get rid of the couples that are in active production there are four or five generations that have born. They multiply by the second and just are amazing. All they need is their food incidentally it happens to be your blood. Put yourself into their shoes they are harmless creatures just looking for their food for their survival. It is unfortunate their prey happens to be you.
Bed Bugs as a thumb rule believe in staying in dark and warm environments. They could be found nesting in carpets, bed spreads and curtains. Throughout the day since there is light and they are not comfortable with light they sleep or take rest. Soon as it is dark they get busy in search of their food. They do not scatter around the entire place they are focused and work towards their goal and achieve it most of the time. Before you could realize they have had a taste of your blood they have vanished. You can be looking for them throughout the night while they are busy hiding and either way you will have sleepless nights.
